Our furniture ranges from true antique to exceptional pre-owned pieces, dating prior to 1955. Each piece is ready for placement and immediate use in your home. We specialize in Mahogany with time tested classic lines in original and refinished condition. Our Oak pieces are chosen for good looks, usability and durability. Walnut and other woods will often be found as it is our goal to have a varied selection of furniture available at all times. Small tables, lamps, mirrors and other useful pieces can usually be found as well. Be sure to check in often as our inventory changes quickly.

The owner of the Upper Notch (Sharon L Teachout) has filled the “Tea Area” with everything for the tea lover. Choose from over 100 different teacups or from the large selection of teapots. You will find teapot candles, mini tea sets, teapot night lights, mini teacup & teapot ornaments and teapot charms. We also stock practical items including tea bag tongs, infusers, lemon squeezers and the super insulated teapot cozy. Ashby Tea in assorted flavors and Iveta scone mixes are always available.

Kat’s Korner Kat's Korner (Katharine Bromley) has a large selection of beautiful costume jewelry. Most pieces date prior to 1955 and include pins, earrings,necklaces and bracelets from the norm to the unusual. Fairy Glen figurines, lovely little fairies, Andrea Sadek porcelain flowers in various sizes and colors and Harbor Lights lighthouses featuring Maryland lighthouses, are also available. We recently added Dragony Dragons & Dragonsite Fairies & Dragons in all poses and styles. Kat's Korner has opened a new section called "Kid's Korner". This section features educational and hobby toys like Thomas & Friends wooden trains, Lego kits and Gund toys and stuffed animals. Kat is a registered Lego dealer so she can provide a price quote and will special order Lego kits not currently available at the shop. Everything in Kat's Korner is great for collecting or gift giving!

B. J. Fuqua Studios (Betty J. Fuqua) Original oil paintings and prints produced from her paintings. Though Betty has had no formal art training she has been capturing the heart of Southern Maryland for over 45 years. Her favorite topics are Tobacco Planters, Watermen and Maryland Wildlife. Betty now shares her talent through motivated teaching at her tobacco barn studio. Visitors are welcome.
